Beer
The nutritional information about beer is this:
- Beer consists of primarily water, alcohol and carbohydrates
- Alcohol is a toxin and needs to be eliminated from the body
- Carbohydrates are used by the body for energy
- When too much carbohydrate enters the body, a hormone spike occurs and energy storage begins. This means that the body stops BURNING fat and starts STORING fat.
This sounds like it is going to give you a big lot of belly fat.
The truth is you can bypass these problems with some simple, effective exercises.
Chocolate
The nutritional information about chocolate is this:
- Chocolate is primarily made up of fat and carbohydrates
- Chocolate may have powerful antioxidants present which help with weight loss
- Cocoa butter and chocolate do NOT raise blood cholesterol
- Chocolate is (in general) fattening
You CAN still eat chocolate and drink beer will you lose belly fat.
Losing belly fat:
Belly fat is like a blanket of fat cells that distributes itself over your belly and stops you from looking your very best!
If you are looking to lose your belly fat, you will need to do the right types of exercises to ensure maximum success. Targeting your abs with ab exercises will NOT necessarily give you the results you want.
You NEED to look at burning fat stores on your body whilst increasing the muscle composition of your body (especially targeted at your abdominals).
Secrets of losing belly fat while eating chocolate and drinking beer
Secret #1 – Belly fat will only shift when you do correct exercises, REGARDLESS of what your eating, how often you eat and what you have been told about belly fat!
Secret #2 – A simple regime of exercises done regularly over a period of 3 months is enough to blast your belly fat WITHOUT needing to give up the foods you love.
Secret #3 – Motivation is useless. You need to have inspiration if you want to achieve something. Motivation is a temporary feeling that will NOT yield the results you want because after a while you will get dis-empowered if things don’t happen straight away. If you unlock some real inspiration, you will never need to be motivated again and discipline will just come naturally.

You have probably heard that beer offers some health benefits. It’s been speculated (and even studied in the past) that beer provides some important advantages for the human body. However, a newly released ADA (American Dietetic Association) study takes things a bit further. In fact, they go so far as to enumerate some of the most beneficial things about that beloved beverage. How, exactly, does beer help you?
Kick Cholesterol in the Butt
One of the most important benefits of drinking beer is the fact that it actually lowers LDL cholesterol (that’s the bad stuff). It also raises HDL cholesterol (the good type). Reducing LDL cholesterol is an important step in fighting heart disease, an affliction suffered by one in three American adults.
Blood Clots
Drinking moderate amounts of beer has also been shown to help reduce the chance of blood clots forming in the body. These can lead to some incredibly frightening medical problems. For instance, if a clot breaks free, it can travel through the body and lodge in the heart, causing a heart attack. If the clot moves into the brain, the result is a stroke, which can leave you permanently debilitated or even kill you.
Gallstones, Kidney Stones and Diabetes
Interestingly, beer has been shown to provide protection from developing both gallstones and Type 2 diabetes. It also helps protect you against kidney stones. The diuretic effect of beer (the pee syndrome), helps to flush the kidneys, and it seems that hops might also help to prevent the release of calcium from bones (a cause of kidney stones). Finally, beer also contains between 2 and 3 grams of fiber, as well as protein (unlike wine), which helps to keep you healthier.
Some Caveats
There are a few caveats stipulated by the ADA, though. First, moderation is key. Drinking too much beer doesn’t offer any greater protection than drinking just a few, and puts you at risk for other medical conditions (think cirrhosis of the liver). On top of that, it seems that you’ll derive the most health benefits from craft beers, rather than those mass-produced beverages. If that’s not encouragement to go out and try a local artisan brew, then what is?
There you have it – beer is a deeply ingrained part of culture and history, and it also helps keep you healthy. The ADA has actually implicated that beer drinking might be preferable to red wine – so drink up!

Has your Saturday night get together with old friends seemed boring lately? Do you and your buddies find yourselves just sitting around drinking beer making desultory conversation? If you have answered yes to these questions maybe it is time that you treated yourself and your friends to a rousing game of beer pong.
It’s crazy, it’s fun and since you are drinking that beer anyway you might as well have the time of your life doing it.
Beer pong is a game needing little equipment just a beer pong table, several disposable cups, a ping pong ball, and of course beer.
Playing the game couldn’t be more simple. Simply choose two teams of one or two each. Fill, 6, 10, or 12 disposable cups ¼ to 1/3 full of beer and form them into a triangle at each end of the table. Then have each team take turns throwing the ping pong ball trying to get it to land in one of the opponents cups.
The cup with the ball in it is then eliminated by one of the people on that side of the table drinking the beer from that cup. (No fair deliberating missing your target to get to drink more beer) play alternates back and forth until all of the cups on one team’s side are eliminated.
The losing team then is required to drink the beer from all the remaining cups on the winner’s side of the table. You can then start a new game.
The only skills that are needed are a keen eye, good aim, and an ability to hold your beer. Bathroom breaks are of course allowed as needed.
This is a game that is hilarious to play and the hilarity increases with each subsequent game. You and your friends might quite literally find yourselves falling on the floor over taken by laughter.
Variations of the Game
For those of you who do not like or want to participate in a drinking game, or do not want to suffer the ill affects of too much beer the next morning you can still enjoy all the fun and excitement of this game by using a few variations on the beer theme.
Try substituting the beer for a non alcoholic beverage such as soda pop or water. Or instead of using liquids at all why not put a spoonful of some disgusting treat or another like bleu cheese, hot sauce, etc and have the loser eat the food from whichever cup the ball chances in.
Another variation could be played for money. Having all team members put in a certain amount of money in each cup and the person whose ball goes into the cup gets the money from that cup. The winner would then get all the remaining money.
You could even use a variation of this game for children in which your place small candies or other treats in a cup for prizes.
Whether you play beer pong using actual beer or your own variation this game is sure to liven up your party, provide for challenging competition, and make your Saturday night get together a whole lot more interesting.

Home brewing can be a great way to get your alcohol. When drinking beer you only taste its bitterness when it hits the back of your tongue, it can also have a very bitter aftertaste too. If you drink beer that doesn’t have enough bitterness it is likely to taste malty grainy or have a sweet feeling about it. Not all beers are the same, all beers have their own need for bitterness. For instance Scottish and German ales require a more malty type of flavor.
Making your beer bitter, can be caused by a number of different things. One of those things might be over boiling the hops, or the roasted malts. Boiling for a long period of time can also cause this or using water which has sulphates within it. Another thing to consider is that not having the right amount of bitterness can also cause low bitterness. Home-brewing can be a very enjoyable experience as long as you know what you are doing.
Depending on what type of beer it is, the outcome or content will vary. If beer is fermented at a high temperature this might cause spoilt alcohol, which may leave a solvent type taste within the beer. Using fermentation is a good way to get rid of any flavors that might taste like solvent.
Considering what has been said here can help you when you decide to create your own beer. Remember just changing a small thing in the making of your beer can make a huge difference to the outcome of how your beer tastes.
Beer is a popular drink especially for men, if you want to avoid the beer gut you will need to drink in moderation and this will keep you in good health.

Beer & Society
What we call someone in our society who drinks heavily often depends on whether they are drinking holed up alone at home or if they are out with friends living it up on a regular basis. If you are at home drinking to excess, you will be viewed as an alcoholic who has a problem, but carry on with the same behavior in public while playing pool, darts, and other pastimes with your buddies and you will be considered the fun party guy that everyone wants to be around! This is because our drinking behaviors are often closely tied to social interactions.
Beer Around the World
If you visited a Middle Eastern country such as Syria, you wouldn’t expect to find breweries, but they are there! Beer is now an international phenomenon and is being brewed in the Middle East, Africa, and in very small countries such as Mongolia. No matter what the religious leanings of a country may be, beer is now a part of everyday modern living.
Serving Beer
While most people who drink primarily to get drunk will pop open the top of a can or bottle and guzzle it down without thinking much about the taste or smell, there are some beer lovers who enjoy taking in the aroma of their brand of choice. These people will want to pour their beer into a glass, mug, or stein of some type so that they can enjoy the smell and taste at a more leisurely pace.
Much as you can find different varieties of wine glasses selling on the market today, you can now find a wide variety of beer glasses and mugs. Some breweries are even putting out their own glasses for their special brand of beer.
Temperature & Beer
Most beer drinkers have a preference for the temperature of their beer when they drink it. How cold or warm the beer is will affect the crispness and the intensity of the flavor on the tongue. What most people don’t realize is that colder beers actually affect the chemical reactions on the tongue and in the throat, which has a drastic effect on how it tastes.
Pouring Your Beer
There is a reason that bartenders turn their glasses to a particular angle when they release beer from the tap. A beer’s presentation will be affected depending not only on that tilting of the glass or mug, but on the speed from which it shoots out from the tap and even the turbulence of the bar once carbonization is released. It turns out there is a whole science behind how a beer should correctly be poured!
Some beers are heavier than others and are best left to settle before they are poured. For instance, German pilsener is often left to settle unless you want to serve the remaining yeast in order to affect color and flavor.
Rating Your Beer
For those who are into beer for much more than its ability to get them drunk, a lot of fun can be had rating beers, either in their personal life or online with other been enthusiasts. Not only is the beer enjoyed, but they are able to turn drinking into a hobby that fills up their free time with enjoyable activity.
Once again, beer drinking is a worldwide phenomenon. It is not uncommon to see enthusiasts from different countries swapping beer from their respective countries. This allows beer drinkers in the U.S. to taste and rate beers from Russia and other countries around the world, and vice versa. For these people, drinking is much more than just hiding at home to get drunk!

The mini keg is compact, portable and bottle free! It is also my most favorite invention of the twentieth century. Okay, so maybe that is a slight over exaggeration but it has really changed the face of drinking beer. For the longest time the only way to enjoy a beer the way it was intended was through an expensive full size keg, which was just not practical for the odd drink or two. These full sized kegs are large, heavy, and therefore not easy to transport to a party. They are also very expensive and often have to be installed into the kitchen or backyard. The mini keg however, is both smaller and compact, making it easily portable, whether you are bringing it over to a friends house or merely moving it into another room in the house. They also have a big advantage over buying beer cans or bottles. I mean you could easily pop a bottle of Bud Light open but it just never tastes the same until the mini keg was invented. It really allows you to get a great flavorful beer without the crazy high prices and, when coupled with the mini kegerator, it will last for a long time.
I remember the first time I saw a mini keg in the store and I knew right away that I had to buy it. Of course at the time I had no keg tap or mini kegerator so that became a separate journey around town trying desperately to find a way to drink my precious brewski! Needless to say I ended up buying a mini kegerator which has enabled me to keep my favorite mini kegs on tap for any occasion. The beauty of the this combination is that it does not require constant ice or maintenance and whenever you want a frosty beer all you have to do is pull the handle!
Admittedly my girlfriend thought I was completely nuts buying a mini keg with no way to drink it but as soon as the mini kegerator arrived I was able to quickly hook it up and get running with it! Right away she was suitably impressed and removed any doubt she had in her mind that the mini kegs were the wave of beer drinking for the future. What I personally love about it is that it is so easy to take to people’s houses and a crowd loves it! I have known tons of people that I have seen mine and then went out and got one for their own personal use. They now enjoy plenty of fresh tasting great beer every day (well I do not recommend drinking every day if you catch my drift!)
So in essence the mini keg is everything that the bottle of beer is not. It’s fresh, tasty and always cool (so long as you use a mini kegerator) and provides an exceptional head every single poor. Grab yours today!

Contrary to popular belief, not everybody likes beer. I know that all the beer drinkers in the world will read this and probably head for the back button on their browser. Well, that’s fine, but if you want to get into the mind of a non beer drinker and understand why he or she doesn’t drink beer, you might want to read what follows. At least you’ll understand why there are actually some people who would rather walk on hot coals than drink a bottle of beer.
For starters, do you remember the very first time you took a sip of beer? Of course you do. It was just before you wanted to barf all over the bartenders cash register. It was bitter, it was disgusting and it was just plain not something you ever wanted to drink again. And then you looked around at all your cool friends, seeing them enjoying their ice cold brew and you thought to yourself, “If I don’t drink this beer they are all going to laugh at me”. So you bit the bullet and finished your brew. Eventually and it took time, you got used to the taste and actually began to enjoy it. You beat your better senses. You became a beer drinker.
Well, non beer drinkers simply didn’t bow to peer pressure. They took that first sip, realized that what they were drinking tasted like something out of a bathroom tap rather than an alcohol tap and said, “The heck with my friends. I’ll be darned if I’m going to drink this.”. . You can fill in the blank with your own descriptive and colorful word. The point is, you refused to cave in. Your real friends would still be your friends even if you didn’t turn into a beer drinker.
But not caving into peer pressure is not the only reason non beer drinkers don’t drink beer. Let’s face it, beer is fattening. They call them beer bellies for a reason and anybody who wants to have any chance to score with a really hot girl doesn’t want to look like Fernando Valenzuela. It’s hard enough getting girls these days even if you’re good looking since most good looking men are automatically assumed to be uninterested in women. And if you’re thinking that you can always drink light beer, well, that stuff tastes worse than the regular beer, if it has any taste at all.
But there’s still another reason why non beer drinkers don’t drink beer. This applies to people who do socially drink something. Obviously, those who don’t drink any type of alcoholic beverage aren’t going to drink beer. But for those who do drink, the reason they will choose other beverages, such as mixed drinks or wine coolers over beer, even if they don’t mind the taste of beer so much, is that these other drinks have a different social status attached to them. Most beer drinkers are looked at as the common man. Men who are investment brokers for a living want to project a different kind of image. So they will pick a martini over a beer, even if they have nothing against the taste itself.
So the next time you’re with a friend of yours and you offer him a beer and he says no thanks, don’t go jumping to conclusions. There could be many reasons why he just doesn’t drink beer.

Beer and nutrition might appear to be two unrelated terms. Right.
We don’t usually see those words together, but the truth is that perhaps, the drink called beer is a bit misunderstood. It may actually be good for you when consumed in very moderate amounts.
Beer has been brewed for just about as long as humans have been cultivating crops and is actually made with some very healthy ingredients. Those ingredients are hops, brewer’s yeast, barley and malt. There are different styles of beer and each style has a distinctive flavor and color. There are beers with much higher or lower levels alcohol, carbohydrates, and protein.
The first question on my mind concerns how beer compares to other alcoholic drinks like red wine or distilled spirits. The comparison is not that easy to make. In the first place, the main beneficial element that was discovered in red wine is resveratrol, a powerful anti-oxidant. Beer doesn’t contain any resveratrol. But the presence of folate in beer helps lower the risk of heart disease when consumed in moderation. Beer also reduces blood clots and it has been shown to improve mental function in women as well as increasing bone density
It might come as a surprise to those that associate beer drinking with being overweight but there isn’t a trace of fat in beer.
But if there’s no fat, then where does the beer belly come from? Turns out it has less to do with drinking a beer and more about the customs of beer drinking. Think about bar foods. It’s usually salty, greasy, fat laden stuff, right? Plus, drinking a few beers can make even the most energetic of us a bit lethargic. It’s no surprise that inactivity can add to an expanding waistline. But a beer, all by itself, won’t significantly affect your weight one way or anothersome studies have shown that beer helps to reduce triglycerides and LDL (LDL is the bad sort of cholesterol), problems that are often associated with obesity.
If beer has no fat and moderate consumption doesn’t contribute to weight gain, then what’s light about “light” beers? Are they better for you? Actually, not necessarily. There’s nothing significantly different between light and regular beers except a slightly lower calorie count. If you’re trying to lose weight and feel compelled to have a beer, the light beer would be your choice
Of course that doesn’t mean that if one beer is good, three or four must be better. That isn’t true. Drinking more than one beer or any alcoholic beverage per day can put too much alcohol in your system and that isn’t good for you. Heavy drinking has been associated with several health problems, so moderation is definitely the key with drinking beer. The studies also point to one beer per day as being beneficial, not drinking all seven beers in one day per week. That type of binge drinking will overload you system with alcohol too.
The following people should not drink beer, or should speak with their doctor before drinking beer or other alcoholic beverages:
* Pregnant or breast-feeding women should not drink beer. Even small amounts of alcohol can damage a developing fetus.
* People with alcoholism or drug addictions should not drink beer.
* Young people.
* People with liver, pancreatic diseases, or really, any type of chronic disease should speak with their doctor.
* People with gout should avoid beer. Gout is very painful and is triggered by alcohol.
* Diabetics should speak with their doctor.
* People taking any type of medications should speak with their doctor. This includes over-the-counter medications
So, the bottom line is that Several beers each day is definitely bad for health. The key to health with beer drinking is to limit your consumption to one beer every alternate day.
Cheers!
